Frock n Troll

Gus
and Sherri Olding are "Frock n Troll'. Finding it hard
to describe their genre when asked, they decided to
invent their own - Australian Mountain Music. With a
splash of folk, bluegrass and country, and a good dash
of Australiana, it perfectly describes their musical
offerings. They share songs about their travels, songs
about their home, love, money and other relevant
stuff, all in their own unique style.Complimenting
these are a small but diverse selection of covers and
traditional music that Gus and Sherri have been
inspired by and have made their own. They have just
completed their third highly successful tour with
country legend and Golden Guitar winner Graham Rodger
and are keen to keep the van on the road. There isn't
much better than seeing the country while you share
music with mates. “Little Dirt Road”, their latest
album, reflects their love of the mountains, rivers
and valleys of the Australian High Country and the
beautiful life they have created there.

to “arrange “ herself into a collaboration.
Liz
Ellerbock Jensen is most likely the true Folkie of the
three as she plays fiddle from the Oldtimey tradition,
and might never have deviated, but for Jack's Pop
music, Jazz, country, Reggae, and European influence,
which she has embraced as harmony singer and bass
player extraordinaire.
Jack
provides vocals, guitar, harmonica, banjo and fiddle
Their
set includes piano, fiddle, banjo, harmonica, guitar
and bass, with vocal harmony.
No opera or hiphop will be played.

Luke Robinson
https://soundcloud.com/lukerrobinson
https://www.facebook.com/lukerrobinson.music
As
folk music legend Pete Seeger once said, “A good song
reminds us what we’re fighting for”. With
carefully-crafted lyrics and a rich bass voice
accompanied by acoustic guitar, Luke’s rousing
anthems, contemplative ballads and comical
compositions range from our First Peoples to refugees,
larrikins to mongrels, military misadventures to the
war on drugs, fracking, farming, coal, climate change,
and other themes of Australian life and politics.
Contributing to the vital tradition of folk musicians
addressing the social and environmental issues of
their time, his songs inspire, amuse and unsettle -
sometimes all at once. In the words of Woody Guthrie
“it’s a folk singer’s job to comfort disturbed people
and to disturb comfortable people”.Playing in a blend
of folk, rock and country styles, Luke counts as
influences artists such as Shane Howard, Kev Carmody,
Redgum, Midnight Oil, Fred Smith, Neil Murray, Billy
Bragg, Johnny Cash and Phil Ochs. Originally hailing
from country Victoria, he now lives in Whian Whian,
near Lismore, northern NSW, and has performed at folk
clubs and festivals across the country. Be sure not to
miss this powerful voice for a better Australia.

Sally Taylor & Andrew
Swainston
Sally Taylor is a
stalwart of the Australian Folk Festival scene.
She plays fiddle in a diversity of styles with
flare and passion, and has travelled to the
sources of the musics she loves to learn from some
of the masters and soak up the traditions. She is
a founding member of the bands Flap!, Stray Hens,
Dev'lish Mary and Triskel and took Appalachian
Heaven to new heights. Currently uncling with The
Ugly Uncles, she has also toured with Peter Daffy
and Steve Gilchrist, Nigel Wearne and Tracey Bunn.

with USA’s mandolin legend Mike Compton. But her
most proud performing moment was at the 2013 Port
Fairy Folk Festival when she soloed for Arlo
Guthrie at the Woody Guthrie 100 year Anniversary
Tribute Concert to a packed house. Sally is also a

Tin Shed Rattlers
The
Tin Shed Rattlers are one of, if not the only, bush
dance bands left in the Riverina, and as the tradition
starts to die out around the country, the band finds
it more important than ever to keep local toes
tapping. They are based loosely around south western
NSW, from Wagga to Narrandera to Griffith to Grong
Grong. The original line up of this band came together
in 1971 DOWNSIDE
Hall has been the home of the Tin Shed Rattlers for
most of their 50-year career.
The
Downside Family Bush Dance is at the heart of what the
Rattlers do, and both the band and their country-style
bashes have become an integral part of the Riverina's
entertainment history.

Toby Mobbs
www.tobymobbsmusic.com
https://www.facebook.com/TobyMobbsMusic
Toby
Mobbs is a librarian by day and pop-folk
singer-songwriter by night. Mobbs has sought to carve
a unique music style both live and in the studio by
incorporating thick, dynamic, and rhythmic guitar,
warm vocals, and introspective lyrical storytelling.
When not in his hometown of Albury NSW, you will find
him traveling around Australia finding new towns and
audiences to connect with, providing insight into the
stories behind the music, and promoting his latest
studio releases.
While
Toby has been labelled one of the hardest working
independent touring musicians in the country, his
studio recordings shine a different light to his
stripped back performances on stage. These recordings
break far away from the solo artist typecast,
showcasing a unique interpretation of the many musical
genres that inspire his writing.
In
2022 Mobbs toured every Australian capital city for
his ‘Placid In The Rough’ National Tour travelling
14,500km in his car over 28 days. This tour promoted
his debut album by the same name with tracks taking
out the #1 spot on the Atomic music charts for an
unprecedented 15 consecutive weeks, #1 spot for Rock
and #2 overall on the Triple J Unearthed charts, and
#3 on AMRAP's national weekly regional charts.
